Our Story
WineVillas is a privately owned luxury villa rental company with properties in Napa and Bordeaux. It is our goal to provide fabulous places for you to stay. We want to make your stay special, helping you create life long memories. We want you to have a hard time leaving and we hope you will come back year after year.
In Napa, we spent several years searching for the perfect property that would enable us to make a fine wine. After many viewings and little success we found the Old Toll property which we purchased the very next day.
The property offered a vineyard site with 30 degree slopes and great southeastern exposure. The vineyard enjoys first light at sunrise then dips below the hills in the late afterrnoon. We are shaded from summer heat, especially at the northern end of the valley.In Bordeaux, we stood outside the dilapidated stone structure, looking over vineyards at the St Emilion’s historic Eglise Ruin and Roman wall and we knew we found home.
The villa remodel was a work of true passion. Our goal was to keep the charm and warmth of the stone structure while opening up spaces and bringing in light. The beauty of Chateau des Amis is in the detail – the floating staircase, the 3 inch handmade oak paneling, the heated cement floors, black granite kitchen tops, the slate and marble bathrooms…etc. Air conditioning is provide through out the villa. You will not a more beautifully equiped villa in this part of France.
The villa is furnished with 17th, 18th and 19th century antiques and original artwork which compliments the open living spaces. The beds were imported from America and England.
